Ditmars Corner is a four-unit walk-up at 21-12 33rd St in Astoria, built in 1926 and an easy walk from Astoria Park. It is a three-story building with just a handful of neighbors, a live-in superintendent, a shared laundry room, private storage cages, smart package lockers and a virtual doorman intercom. Cats and dogs are welcome. The interiors are fully renovated with wide-plank white oak floors, quartz counters, stainless appliances, gas ranges, dishwashers, glass-enclosed showers and recessed lighting. Three two-bedroom homes of 765 to 835 square feet stack along the east side, one per floor. On the first floor, a 1,055-square-foot three-bedroom with one and a half baths faces west and has its own washer and dryer. This is the Ditmars end of Astoria, close to the Greek tavernas along Ditmars Boulevard and to Astoria Park, where the pool sits beneath the Hell Gate Bridge. Beer gardens and bakeries are plentiful. Little Egypt is a 9-minute walk, Titan Foods is 8 minutes, and Basil Brick Oven Pizza is 7. The N/W trains run from Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and Astoria Blvd, the latter a 3-minute walk, and the NYC Ferry at Astoria adds a waterfront route into the city.
