Strivers Walk is an 1895 walk-up at 254 W 136th St, four stories tall with eight apartments. The building has been updated where it counts: a live-in superintendent, a shared laundry room, smart package lockers and a virtual doorman intercom for visitors and deliveries. Cats and dogs are welcome. Every home has been renovated in a modern style, with wide-plank white oak floors, quartz counters, stainless appliances, recessed lighting and a glass-enclosed shower. The mix includes studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms, each with a gas range and ceiling fans, and dishwashers in the one- and two-bedroom homes. Apartments face east or west, two to a floor. The building sits in the blocks near Strivers' Row, among the grand brownstones of central Harlem, with the Apollo, 125th Street and Marcus Garvey Park to the south and east. Jacob Soul Food Restaurant is a 2-minute walk, 787 Coffee and Pioneer Supermarkets of Harlem are about 3 minutes away, and Whole Foods Market is 7. The 2 and 3 stop at 135 St, and at 125 St you'll also find the A, B, C and D and the 4, 5 and 6.
