About the property

Life at Huron Row

Huron Row is a small 1905 walk-up at 160 Huron St, three stories tall with only three homes inside. It is the kind of Greenpoint house where you know everyone in the building by the end of the first week.

Out back, a shared backyard garden gives residents a green place to sit, and a live-in superintendent, smart package lockers and a laundry room take care of the practical side. The homes keep a prewar classic finish: original hardwood floors, exposed brick, subway-tile baths and tall windows facing east, and two of the three keep a decorative fireplace mantel. Two are Two Bedroom Duplex plans with private outdoor space, and one is a full-floor Three Bedroom. Every home has a dishwasher and an in-unit washer and dryer, and cats and dogs are welcome. Huron Street sits among the tree-lined side streets of frame and brick rowhouses that define this part of Greenpoint. Radio Bakery is 3 minutes away, Karczma is a 5-minute walk for dinner, and WORD is 5 minutes for books. The G train at Greenpoint Av is a 3-minute walk, Nassau Av is about 12, and the NYC Ferry at India St connects to Manhattan along the East River.

Pretty tree-lined street, friendly neighbors, and a short walk to Transmitter Park for sunsets. The private outdoor space with my duplex was the deciding factor. Stairs are stairs, but it's only three floors.

Our dog loves the backyard and we love the three-bedroom layout. Having all three rooms on one floor makes working from home easy. The leasing process with Corbel & Stoop was clear and quick.

The apartment itself is lovely and the light in the morning is great. Heating took a bit of adjusting during the first cold snap, though it was sorted after I reported it. Overall a solid place, just know it's an old house.

I've lived in a lot of Brooklyn walk-ups and this is the best run of them. Package lockers mean nothing gets lost, the G is right there at Greenpoint Av, and Radio Bakery is basically my kitchen now.

Great prewar apartment with tons of character. The super lives on site and has fixed everything I've asked about within a day or two. Only knock is that old floors creak, which honestly comes with the territory.

Three apartments, one per floor, and a garden out back that we actually use. Summer dinners outside became a weekly thing. The brick and the fireplace mantel sold me on the first visit, and having a washer and dryer inside the unit is a luxury in this neighborhood.
