About the property
Mount Morris House is a four-story walk-up at 117 W 120th St, built in 1890 within the Mount Morris Park historic district. It holds six apartments, which keeps the building personal, and Corbel & Stoop has equipped it with a laundry room, a bike storage room and smart package lockers. Cats and dogs are welcome.
The homes are prewar through and through: original hardwood floors, exposed brick, tall windows and subway-tile baths, with decorative fireplace mantels in two homes. The plans run from one-bedrooms to two-bedrooms to a pair of three-bedrooms with one and a half baths and an in-unit washer and dryer. Every home has a gas range and dishwasher, and apartments face east or west. The block sits near Marcus Garvey Park, with the Apollo and 125th Street to the north and Strivers' Row and blocks of grand brownstones farther uptown. Jacob Soul Food Restaurant is a 2-minute walk, 787 Coffee and Pioneer Supermarkets of Harlem are each about 3 minutes away, and Shrine is a 7-minute walk. At 125 St you'll find the 2 and 3, the A, B, C and D, and the 4, 5 and 6, with the 125 St stop about 6 minutes on foot.

Everything about the location works for me, from the Apollo to the train options at 125th. The building feels cared for, and the team is easy to reach.

Two-bedroom with afternoon sun and plenty of character. The gas range is a cook's friend. Wish the bathroom were a little bigger, but that's prewar life.

My dog and I walk to Marcus Garvey Park every morning. The bike room is handy and leasing was straightforward and friendly. Love the tall windows.

Beautiful prewar apartment, but the fourth-floor walk-up is a commitment with groceries. Maintenance responded to my request, though it took a couple of days during a busy week.

I'm three minutes from coffee and groceries and six from the express trains at 125th. The fireplace mantel in my one-bedroom gets compliments from everyone who visits.

Small, well-kept building. Package lockers mean I don't have to chase deliveries. Laundry room is clean. Only six apartments, so it's never hectic in the hallway.

The block is gorgeous and the apartment matches it. Original floors, brick, a mantel in the living room. Having a washer and dryer in my three-bedroom is something I'll never give up now.
