About the property

Life at The Sixty-Ninth

The Sixty-Ninth is a four-story walk-up at 38 W 69th St, built in 1895 and divided into only five homes. That small count shapes the building: one or two apartments per floor, a shared front door and neighbors you'll recognize.

Corbel & Stoop provides a laundry room, smart package lockers and private storage cages, and cats and dogs are welcome. The apartments have been renovated in a crisp modern style while keeping the proportions of the original building. Expect wide-plank white oak floors, quartz counters, stainless appliances, recessed lighting and glass-enclosed showers. The mix runs from one-bedrooms to two-bedroom duplexes with private outdoor space and in-unit laundry, and a single three-bedroom on the third floor. West 69th Street sits on the southern end of the Upper West Side, between Central Park and Riverside Park, with Lincoln Center within walking distance. UNO Pizzeria & Grill is a 1-minute walk, Shake Shack Upper West Side is 3 minutes away, and Knitty City is about 5. The 2 and 3 express trains stop at 72 St, the 1 runs at 79 St and 86 St, and the B and C stop at 81 St and 86 St.

Lincoln Center is a walk away and I take full advantage. The one-bedroom is bright and the renovation is thoughtful. Leasing was easy from first tour to keys.

Nice small building, good neighbors, and my cat has settled in fine. The glass shower and recessed lighting make the bathroom feel modern. Package lockers are reliable.

The three-bedroom gives us enough space that it doesn't feel like Manhattan. Morning light through the east windows is lovely. Management responds quickly when we reach out.

Apartment is great, but in a building this small the laundry room is sometimes in demand on Sunday mornings. Storage cage helps with the lack of closet space.

Quartz counters, gas range, dishwasher. Everything I wanted in a kitchen without leaving the Upper West Side. I'm a few minutes from the express train at 72nd, which makes commuting easy.

Five apartments total, so it never feels crowded. The renovation is well done and the oak floors are beautiful. Fourth-floor walk-up keeps me in shape whether I like it or not.

We have one of the duplexes and the outdoor space is the reason we signed. Washer and dryer in the unit is a huge upgrade from our last place. Finishes feel new and solid.
