About the property
Dean Street Flats is a 1910 walk-up at 1237 Dean St in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Four stories and eight apartments, it is a straightforward, well-run building: a live-in superintendent, a shared laundry room, smart package lockers and a virtual doorman intercom, with cats and dogs welcome.
Each floor has two homes, an east-facing one-bedroom and a west-facing two-bedroom, so every apartment gets light from one clear direction. All eight share the same renovated modern finish: wide-plank white oak floors, quartz counters, stainless appliances with a dishwasher and gas range, a glass-enclosed shower, recessed lighting and ceiling fans. Crown Heights here means wide prewar blocks running down to Eastern Parkway, Franklin Avenue's restaurants, and the Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Garden within reach. Urban Market by Key Food and Peppa's Jerk Chicken are each a 3-minute walk, and the Brooklyn Children's Museum about 4. The 2/3/4/5 stop at Franklin Av, the S at Park Pl, and Nostrand Av station is an 11-minute walk.

Just renewed. The two-bedroom layout works perfectly for working from home, and the ceiling fans keep things comfortable. Really appreciate how responsive the Corbel & Stoop team is.

Moved here for the commute and stayed for the neighborhood. Franklin Avenue has something for every night of the week. Laundry room can get busy on weekends, so I go early.

Maintenance requests get handled fast, usually within a day. The glass shower and recessed lighting make the place feel modern without losing the charm of an older building.

Solid, well-maintained building. Package lockers mean no stolen deliveries. Plenty of good food within a few blocks. Kitchen is small but the dishwasher and gas range make up for it.

I love my top-floor one-bedroom. Morning sun, quiet, and the white oak floors are beautiful. My cat spends all day in the window. Leasing was quick and clear.

Nice finishes and a good location for the 2/3/4/5. The intercom app glitched a couple of times early on, though it's been fine since. Management was polite about fixing it.

Our two-bedroom on the second floor has plenty of space and the afternoon light is lovely. Laundry room is clean. Would love an elevator on grocery day, but that's walk-up life.

Fresh renovation, great light and a super who actually lives in the building. Having a Key Food three minutes away has saved me more times than I can count. Very happy here.
